Well…joining an artists group has proven to be a positive step forward for me in my journey as an artist. I’m showing two of my paintings with the Richmond Hill Group of Artists at the beautiful Markham Flato Theatre Gallery. It’s a gorgeous live performance theatre that presents an array of excellent concerts, theatre, dance, comedy shows, family entertainment and a beautiful venue to show art.

It’s exciting to see the artwork hung in that type of surrounding. The art seems to take on a new life…like it knows it’s beening seen so it’s putting it’s best foot forward. Or maybe it’s that it’s in company with other art that it feels emboldened to shine. I think art innately knows that it has something to contribute to the world. It stands for something…for beauty…for awareness…for inspiration.

I feel honored to be able to show my work with the very talented artists who are also members of the RGHA. The show is at the theatre until Feb. 26/2017. The gallery is open during the day Monday to Friday and during all performances.
